William Morris Promotes Five Agents

BEVERLY HILLS, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The William Morris Agency (WMA) has promoted Derek Douglas, Jason Fox, Todd Jacobs, Carla Laur, and Dan Shear to agent. Douglas will be an agent in the Video Game Department; Fox will be working in the Television Department; Jacobs and Laur will be in the Music and Commercial Endorsements and Sports and Commercial Endorsements Departments respectively; and Shear will be an agent in the Television Literary Department and the Digital Group.

Douglas, a graduate from UCSD with a JD from USD Law School, joined WMA in 2004 in the Beverly Hills office. As an agent, he will continue to work in the Video Game department, where he has worked for Cody Alexander, VP, Head of Video Games, for the past two years.

Prior to working at WMA, Fox worked at NBC, CBS, and NY1 as a news producer. He joined WMA's New York office in 2002, where he worked for Jackie Harris and Henry Reisch. Fox graduated from Rutgers College of Rutgers University with BA's in Journalism and American Politics.

Jacobs joined the agency in 2002 after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Marketing. During his tenure at WMA he worked in the music department and the commercial department under Cary Berman, Co-Head, Commercials/Endorsements.

Laur graduated with a Major in Communications from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to joining WMA in 2003 she worked in the Media Planning division of Initiative in NYC. Most recently she has worked for Jill Smoller, Senior Vice President, Head of Commercials, Sports Group.

Shear began his career at WMA's New York office as an intern in the summer of 1999 and returned as a mailroom trainee in 2002.
