West Ada School District to host free summer feeding events for children
MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — West Ada School District (WASD) School Nutrition Services will host free feeding events for children throughout the summer of 2023, according to a recent news release. The Summer Feeding Kickoff event occurs Thursday at Tully Park, 2500 N. Linder Rd. in Meridian. The event starts at noon and ends at 12:45 p.m.
Free summer meals are made possible with federal funding provided by the USDA.
Meals must be consumed on-site. All children ages 1-18 are eligible for a free meal whether or not they are enrolled in a WASD school. If supplies permit, adults can purchase a meal for $5.
The WASD School Nutrition Services asks parents and guardians throughout the district to hold on applying for free or reduced meals until August 2023.
