WATCH: Damian Lillard BRUTALLY trolled for worst defense ever after letting Tyrese Haliburton

Publish date: 2024-07-31

The Milwaukee Bucks had moved for a former Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard in the previous offseason for his offensive prowess. However, Lillard came under scrutiny for the defensive aspect of his game during the Bucks’ recent loss to the Indiana Pacers.

As his team ended up losing 122-113, Lillard himself had a night to forget. He finished with just 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, with only 1-9 shooting from the 3-point zone and an overall 3-16 shooting on the night.

However, even that was not the worst of the night. For Lillard to be isolated by Tyrese Haliburton was always going to be a sight to forget for Bucks fans. Damian Lillard was caught in a hilarious moment where he appeared to lose concentration, late in the fourth quarter.

With Dame guarding the youngster at the edge of the 3-point zone, Haliburton saw his opportunity and was quick to take it. Lillard seemed like he was expecting a pass, but ended up getting dribbled past rather easily.

This, as one would expect, led to a range of reactions from fans, with one claiming that it was the worst display of defense that he had ever seen. However, this was hardly the extent of the criticism.

Damian Lillard gets trolled despite the Bucks’ strong start to season

Lillard had his initial hiccups at the Bucks but has since done a great job of settling down alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. Regardless, fans will be considered considering the Pacers are seemingly Lillard’s kryptonite.

The latest moment against Haliburton ended up resulting in a range of fans trolling the Bucks’ point guard, on Twitter:

Has Lillard ever shoott above 40% from 3 the guy always has these weird shooting games how can he be considered a good shooter going 1-9

He has struggled with his shooting against the Pacers’ young roster in all 3 of the Bucks’ matchups against them, with Haliburton dominating proceedings during the December 7 matchup. The December 13 clash between the two sides saw Giannis Antetokounmpo produce his historic 63-point performance, which proved to be enough to send them home.
