Retired NFL player Adam 'Pacman' Jones banned from flying out of Cincinnati following arrest
BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) — A former football player with a well-known nickname won't be flying out of the main airport where one of his teams played.
Adam "Pacman" Jones is barred from flying out of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport while the former Bengal is facing charges stemming from his arrest there, earlier this month.
That came out of a Thursday court hearing in Boone County, Ky.
Jones said he bought two seats on an early morning flight to Newark, N.J., for the Monday Night Football game on Sept. 11.
He said he asked to change seats to find an outlet where his charger would work, since he needed his iPad to work after his arrival.
Instead, the plane was turned back to the gate.
Jones allegedly told one of the responding police officers,
Wait, I'm going to get you and that's not a threat. It's a promise," allegedly saying a second time, "I'm going to get you."He's also charged with alcohol-related intoxication and disorderly conduct.
He's set to return to court on Oct. 12.
