Carlos Dunlap had a season to remember last year with the Kansas City Chiefs and got hold of the coveted Super Bowl. He is currently a free agent and there is still no announcement on whether his current contract will be extended or not.

However, he has still not said that this will be his last season in the NFL. He is ready to play for the Kansas City Chiefs again or even go to another team and help them win the Super Bowl.

“I can help another team get one of their own or help the Chiefs again,” Dunlap said. “The Chiefs haven’t ruled that out, but currently it’s a waiting game. I’m a free agent, and I feel great, and I still love the game,” he said.

Carlos Dunlap flaunts off Super Bowl ring in front of Cincinnati Mayor

Carlos Dunlap has recently opened a new restaurant, Honey Uninhibited in Covington on Monday. During the opening, he had invited Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval to his new place and was greeted by a rather funny gesture by Carlos Dunlap.

Dunlap wasted no opportunity to flaunt his new Super Bowl ring in front of the Mayor to remind him of the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs are the current champions and not the Cincinnati Bengals! NFL Twitter users absolutely loved this banter and were quick to understand Carlos Dunlap’s intended tease.

Dunlap is a Cincinnati Bengals legend and spent 10 seasons with them and was a two-time Pro Bowler. Thereby he is not insulting the Bengals fans but indulging in some friendly banter.

Dunlap has a flourishing restaurant business and is expanding greatly. “On the football is an opportunity to put my heart on my sleeve and here it’s a way for me to put my heart into ya’lls belly,” Dunlap said.

He spent a major part of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals and hence wanted to open one in Cincinnati for the fans. “With all the support we’ve gotten and from the city of Cincinnati and northern Kentucky, I thought let’s bring it to them,” Dunlap said.

It needs to be remembered that Carlos Dunlap signed his last one-year contract with the Chiefs in late July. Hence there might still be time for him to sign another contract extension.
